Joining International Network Reinforces Mission to Scale Sustainable Investment

AI fintech startup ClimateAligned becomes a signatory of the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment to amplify the impact of its work in building AI-powered tools for sustainable investment and finance experts.

ClimateAligned is proud to announce its new status as a signatory of the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). This significant step in ClimateAligned's development underscores our commitment to integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into investment practices and decision-making processes.

The PRI is the world's leading proponent of responsible investment, working to understand the investment implications of ESG factors and supporting its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions.

ClimateAligned is a London-based startup whose AI co-pilot empowers experts to use data in green investing and finance at unprecedented speed and scale, with customisation and transparency at its core. The co-pilot unlocks the capability for analysts to create their own automated assessments of financial instruments and issuers against any climate definitions in line with market standards and in-house thinking. Professionals using the product can build, test, and edit bespoke definitions and use them to create benchmarks and identify gaps in relative performance. ClimateAligned makes green financial product development faster and easier than ever before, freeing expert time to drive value and positive impact.

By joining the PRI, ClimateAligned commits to the six Principles:

  1. Incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes
  2. Be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into ownership policies and practices
  3. Seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which it invests
  4. Promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry
  5. Work together to enhance effectiveness in implementing the Principles
  6. Report on activities and progress towards implementing the Principles
